  • 2. + Objective  To create a quality PowerPoint presentation that engages students within the learning process.
  • 3. + Introduction  Presentations  Can be made with many different applications via the web  Offer great assistance for classroom discussions  Many fail to captivate their audiences  Common mistakes  Can be avoided by following the tips provided
  • 4. + Slides  Keep it simple  Cutting and pasting from different sources won’t cut it  The font is the key to success  Emphasize your highlights  Careful with the design  Don’t let it take over your message
  • 5. + Uniformity  Change is NOT good  Use the same font and size on all slides  Colors should match  Don’t be to crazy!
  • 6. + Distinction  Don’t be boring  Black and white isn’t exciting  Color can be good  Make it easy on the eyes  Don’t strain your audience
  • 7. + Simplicity  Don’t get to fancy  Straightforward and modest is the best bet  Keywords only  No sentences!  Don’t read the slides word for word
  • 8. + Images  Let your audience see what your talking about  Use visual cues to enhance your message  Don’t use them for decoration
  • 9. + Audience  Keep them in mind when your creating your presentation  Don’t get fancy  Keep it simple  Know your presentation material inside and out
