    • Purpose: to list possible areas that the student will be exposed to during Exploration

    • The Student will:
      • Gain beginning piano keyboard skill (age appropriate)
      • Investigate the Music styles of the 40’s 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’ s
      • Compose simple songs in a specific style
      • Master I pod mp3 use
      • Learn basic singing skills
      • Try out specific dance steps
      • Investigate music careers and interview people in particular music fields
      • Take virtual tours of musical places of interests
  • Gain beginning piano keyboard skill
    • Using electric keyboards, the student will learn basic keyboarding knowledge
    • Supporting information and examples
  • Investigate the Music styles of the 40’s 50’s 60’s 70’s 80’s and 90’ s
    • The style of each time period and important composers will be investigated
    • Partners collaborate to compose songs
    • They may perform their creation
  • Master I pod mp3 use
  • The student will review safe practices of using an I pod or M P 3 player
    • The ins and outs of internet safety will be discussed
  • Investigate Music careers
  • Learn basic singing skills
    • The America Idol business will be researched
