The purpose of this work is to present a study about a group of women and their
communicative practices in the social networking site Twitter. The research is
situated in a socio cultural and technological context that articulates theories
and reflection on digital communication, transitioning between topics such as
cyberculture, cyberspace, social media, identity narratives, discourse analysis,
language functions and women communicators, under the lens of
methodological netnography. The analysis is performed in two spheres with
intersections between them: the profiles of women communicators on Twitter
and their visual representations; and the analysis of the messages published as
constituent elements of digital narratives.
Keywords: women,Twitter, digital communication, Twitter, identity narratives.
