  • Benefits of our Projects The fruit, non-timber forest produce and fodder from our projects are used by rural communities in the area, a vast majority of whom live below the poverty line, and really helps them augment their income and conserve their disposable income. In our project in the Panchmahal district of Gujarat, 40% of the communities’ disposable income is spent procuring cooking fuel which can be substituted with fallen twigs and branches. Several of our projects are in tiger reserves and wildlife sanctuaries, which restore degraded areas in the periphery of the sanctuaries and help prevent man-animal conflict. The trees planted are all indigenous and include species like Custard Apple, Amla, Khair, Neem and Our project in the Udaipur district of Rajasthan Black Siris to maintain the biodiversity of the area. 9
