    1. Technology and Innovation Management Innovation is one of the determinant factors in profitable business activity that leads to success and competitiveness in global markets. Whether large or small, manufacturing or service organizations, the current global economical recession puts further pressure on them to innovate. Even though outstanding companies are aware of the importance of innovations and can do everything right bus still lose their market leadership, or worse, disappear completely. The Problem is simply because of the lack of applying Innovation Management best practices. The Seminar will introduce the basic concepts of Innovation Management and its four dimensions; Process, Structure, Strategy and People. Moreover Since innovations are the result of human creativity and Managing innovation requires managing technical professionals, the seminar will discuss some problem solving and creativity techniques that will foster creativity organizational innovation culture. The major topics include innovation management tasks; strategic management of technology; innovation processes; product development strategies; innovation auditing, technical project management; open innovation; organizations structures and behaviors; problem solving and creativity techniques; technology forecasting techniques. Jamil Alkhatib, the presenter, is an Innovation Management and Technology Transfer Consultant. He holds Msc. Degree in Technology and Innovation Management from both Fh-Brandenburg and BTU Cottbus Universities in Germany. He worked for several companies and not-for-profit organizations in the field if innovation. His latest project was with the Arab Science and Technology Foundation where he was responsible for assessing and evaluating early stage technologies for commercialization potential besides developing new technology based products.
