Bookmark not defined. Copyright 2010 Introduction The world of social media can be extremely confusing when first jumping into it. What should you say? Where should you say it? How do you get people to listen? These are challenges that face all businesses and internet marketers. Social media is this huge source of possible customers that you know are out there, but you just don’t seem to be able to reach! I started searching for information on how to put together a social media plan and carry it out. By Jamie Cawley Page 4
  • 4. Social Media Bonanza The amount of completely irrelevant information was astounding! I certainly did NOT have the time to be reading 5-10 different books that are each 500+ pages long! I did not need to know about the history of social media, nor in depth details about the different functions available or why social media should be used for marketing! I already KNEW that social media was something I needed to get into – that was why I was searching for the “how to” information in the first place! What I needed was an easy step by step guide that explained exactly what to do and when to do it! So I created this guide for myself and all the businesses and internet marketers that want a step by step plan to develop and maintaining an effective social media campaign using various social media outlets focusing on Facebook and Twitter. And better yet – I managed to put it all together in less than 20 pages by cutting it right back to EXACTLY what is relevant to you! By Jamie Cawley Page 5
  • 5. Social Media Bonanza Chapter 1 - Facebook Facebook should be the major component of any Social Media campaign because there is so much that can be shared on this platform. Exposure on Facebook is incredible. If one fan comments on a post that you make on your business page, every friend or fan that commenter has can see that post as well. Daily updates would be optimal; at least a few times a week is necessary to keep the page relevant. Content Information shared via posts and status updates should be "specialized".  Reviews of services, exclusive promotions, updates on new services and information on existing services.  Share some tips and helpful information on Facebook before sharing elsewhere. Links to interesting articles, videos and other resources. Promote or share a newsletter or blog exclusively on Facebook. CLICK HERE TO READ MORE… By Jamie Cawley Page 6
