2008-09 - MOMOSYD - 3 Australia - Sheen Yap - Creating Great User ExperienceHey Sheen,
I like Slide 26!
Delighter is such a better word than Motivator in the UX context!
I’d say an enlightening UX is a challenge! If an online experience can contribute to raising someone’s level of consciousness then we have to build more of them!
Is your ’remembered’ column meant to represent increasing levels of success in the outcome?
Thanks! It’s been too long since we last met!3 months ago

Web2.0 DilemmaThanks for adding me as a contact.
I experienced your show here this morning and have been pondering it all day.
I am heavily involved in the Internet Industry and one of my frustrations is with marketers thinking that The Internet is just there for people to make money!
It’s not just about that, it is about communication and connection. Make money out of transactions; but user generated content it just another way of people to connect and communicate. It’s about leveraging the ’weak ties’ in our lives.
We don’t run around at parties on the weekend telling people not to talk because they are not being paid for it. Maybe 10% of the population is paid for that?! And it is just the same on the Internet. Web 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 is about innovation and people learning that they can do things they already do, in a different way.
Think about academia, this Mind Revolution on the Internet could be considered a faster, more collaborative and less controlled way of doing what universities do. Many professors and their colleagues aren’t there to make money, they are there to create knowledge, better ways of doing things and understand the human condition. So why should it be any different on the Internet?
I write on social networks to help my brand, sure, but more importantly, it gives me the opportunity to learn, share, influence and create.
Remember it is not all about the money. There is no dilemma, just an opportunity.2 years ago

A8: Mind Mapping for Effective Content ManagementHi Guys,
Love your slide show! Particularly the figures about what you could achieve in such a short time. I have been mind mapping for IA and UX work for some time and my staff and I absolutely love it!
I have also used it to write usability reports as it is easy to structure the points and make sure there is no repetition and then export to word.
I did a preso on it here: http://www.slideshare.net/jamesbreeze/mindmapping-the-ux-122518
When I do an IA in mind=manager I use the organisation tree structure to format the IA. I find that clients are more accepting of this in this format. You will see it in my latest slide shows on slideshare.
Congrats on getting the show of the day!2 years ago
