  3. Simple doesn’t mean easy
  4. Lots of things are simple….
  5. examples:
  6. Want to Lose weight?
  7. Eat less…
  8. … exercise more
  9. Want to save money?
  10. Make a budget… $2000/month Rent $250/month Food $120/month Power $80/month Phone/cable $55/month Fun
  11. Stick to it…spend less
  12. Want to pass a test?
  13. Take notes….
  14. … study hard
  15. It’s not rocket science
  16. It’s simple.
  17. But simple…. doesn’t mean easy.
  18. Simple…. can mean really really really hard work .
  19. Why do we have so much trouble doing simple things?
  20. because:
  21. We can be lazy…
  22. we develop bad habits…
  23. and we don’t like change.
  24. But…if you want to change
  25. How do you break bad habits?
  26. Replace them with good habits.
  27. It’s a mindset change
  28. I’m not a smoker…..I’m a jogger I’m not a spender…..I’m a saver I’m not an overeater…..I’m healthy I’m not shy…..I’m confident etc…
  29. Sound simple?
  30. It is….
  31. but it’s hard
  32. Want to get good at simple things?
  33. Eliminate distractions
  34. on just one step at a time
  35. Give it 100% of your attention
  36. Keep a positive outlook
  37. Sound simple? Enough already!!! We get it- it’s not easy.
  38. Our brains are on fire
  39. Millions of thoughts firing through our brain every second….
  40. The magic lies in calming your mind so that it can focus on just the one thing at a time.
  41. Think meditation
  42. Just sit… focus on breathing…. and think of nothing.
  43. Sound simple? Right- not easy.
  44. Time to remodel your brain… and change your ways of thinking
  45.  
  46. Practice simple things
  47. Get good at them
  48. Give it 100% of your attention
  49. It’s called getting into the ‘flow’
  50. What happens when you’re in the ‘flow’?
  51. You become immersed in the experience
  52. Clear your mind
  53. It becomes unconscious
  54. Your existence is temporarily suspended
  55. Stress will melt away
  56. Time will stop
  57. it becomes automatic
  58. Nothing else matters…
  59. You’re in the ‘flow’
  60. Happiness and fulfillment follow
  61. Watch out…
  62. It’s addictive
  63. To get more:
  64. Create an environment without interruptions
  65. Work on something you are passionate about…
  66. Something that is meaningful to you
  67. Make sure it’s challenging….
  68. … and you have the skills to do it
  69. Clarify what you want to accomplish
  70. Do it well
  71. Create a sense of serenity
  72. Calm the voices in your head
  73. Make it part of your routine
  74. Got it?
  75. Do simple things well.
  76. Get into the flow.
  77. Enjoy life.
