  • 2. FMA’s History
    • Established in 1970
    • The FMA is a global leader in developing and broadcasting knowledge about financial decision making
    • Over 3,000 professors and professionals view FMA as an educational experience as well as a professional resource.
    • The mission of the FMA is to:
      • broaden the common interests between professors and professionals,
      • provide opportunities for professional interaction between and among professors, professionals and students,
      • promote the development and understanding of basic and applied research and of sound financial practices,
      • and to enhance the quality of education in finance.
  • 3. FMA at UCF
    • Our Chapter was founded in 1997
    • We currently have 75 active members
    • We are a designated “Superior Chapter” according to FMA International
    • FMA, UCF chapter received the award for “Most Increased Membership” (nationwide) in 2007-08
  • 4. FMA at UCF
    • FMA, UCF Chapter was published in FMA’s national newsletter, along with Dartmouth
    • We have attended the conference 4 years consecutively since 2005
    • FMA is the primary finance club at UCF
    • Our main focus is finance, but we welcome any students without limitation
