KGeography is a Free and open source educational software game that tests students geographical knowledge. It forms part of KDE SC 4. Current version ships with KDE Education Project 4.4.2 . 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

Learning It allows you to learn about the political divisions of some countries (divisions, capitals of those divisions and their associated flags if there are some). Browse the maps clicking in a map division to see its name. Every nation's flag and capital will be shown as well. 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

Quick Start To KGeography When you run KGeography for the first time, it first asks you to choose a map to start with. 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

And KGeography main window appears with the map of Canada: 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

You can then choose what type of learning or testing you want to do by looking at the menu on the left: 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

Explore Map: a click on an area of the map will display information about that area, if you click on the small info icon on the popmap, it will open the wikipedia page for that division in the system's default browser: 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

Location of Provinces or Territories: you are first asked how many questions you want . 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

When you finish all the questions, a result dialog is shown with your correct and uncorrect answers: 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

Usage Modes Besides for educational purposes, KGeography can be used for evaluating ones knowledge. Right now it has five games: • The game tells you a map division name and you have to click on it . 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc

• The game tells you a capital and you have to guess the division it belongs to . • The game tells you a division and you have to guess its capital . • The game shows you a map division flag and you have to guess its name . 19-07-10 http://jagdeepmalhi.co.cc
