This was delivered at the University of Wisconsin - Madison's All Campus Leadership conference in 2009.

  • 5. opportUNITY Penn State Dance Marathon  2008 marked the thirteenth year Alpha Tau Omega and Zeta Tau Alpha were the top money raising organizations.  ATO and ZTA raised more than $200,000 combined and over $1,000,000 in the last four years.

  • 9. 3 Keys  Doing  What events are we already involved with?  What could we do that lives up to the purpose of our organization?  What will create opportUNITY?  Is there an opportUNITY to get involved with another organization?  How will you motivate your org, and others, to participate?
  • 10. 3 Keys  Recording  Doing is great, but throwing away opportUNITY when you don't record  Someone's unique responsibility  Establish a process  Coordinate with event planners  Attend and participate  Take pictures  Write a quick “write-up” after  Share with organization  Keep in a safe place with other event records
  • 11. Program Write-up Submitted by: Date: Type of program: Planned or attended?: How many members participated? What was the title of the program? Who sponsored the program? What was the event cost/budget? Did the event raise money, if so, how much? Describe program: How did the program help your chapter/others? What did your organization learn? Would you do anything differently if you were to participate/organize again?
