  • 1.  Film, television and radio all developed fast and furiously in Southern California in the early 1900’s.  Wine, women and song along with wealth, glamour and fame drew dreamers to these California promises.  Hollywood movers and shakers of the movies created the modern movie industry.
  • 2.  California produced art and culture that stood apart  Cecil B. DeMille: (filmmaker)  John Steinbeck (writer)  Ansel Adams (photographer)  Frank Lloyd Wright (architect)  All painted California as a cultural epicenter in the world
