  1. 1. Why am I born? Why am I saved? Why am I here on earth? Why am I in this DGC? Purpose - ask the question WHY? PURPOSE
  2. 2. What does God want you to be? to do? Who am I becoming? Am I fulfilling God’s Purpose in my life? VISION Vision - ask the question WHAT?
  3. 3.  Are we a blessing to our family members?  Can we minister to those in need in our DGs?  Do we stand in the gap for the church and the nation?  Are we doing meaningful work that draws out our strengths, talents and gifting with the consequent compensation and benefits in the workplace?  Do we have a ministry that flows from our strengths, talents and gifting? DGC - PURPOSE-VISION
  4. 4. DGC - PURPOSE-VISION These are questions of what should flow OUT of our lives to impact others!
  5. 5. DGC - Purpose-Vision  Do we desire to grow to know God more?  Are we easily offended?  Are we becoming more like Jesus?  Are we growing strong spiritually?
  6. 6. DGC - Purpose-Vision  Do we have strong marriages and family relationships?  Are we filled with the Spirit?  Are we filled with the Word?  Do we know our strengths and giftings?
  7. 7. DGC - Purpose-Vision  Are we equipped to:  learn to pray;  share the Word;  lead someone to Christ;  do the work of ministry.
  8. 8. DGC - Purpose-Vision These are questions of what should flow IN our lives in order to bless others!
  9. 9. DGC - Purpose-Vision To build a Dynamic Community church whose Head is the Lord Jesus Christ, whose Help is the Holy Spirit whose Focus is the Great Commission to the glory of God the Father.
  10. 10. Foundational Pursuit of a DGC #1 The Greatest Commandment: LOVE God with our whole-being. Mark 12:30 And you shall love the LORD Your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. This is the first commandment.
  11. 11. Foundational Pursuit of a DGC #1 The Greatest Commandment: LOVE God with our whole-being. 1 John 4:10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:19 We love Him because He first loved us.
  12. 12. Foundational Pursuit of a DGC #1 Personal Application Our daily devotion  To partake of His Word.  To grow our Prayer-Communion.  To build our Altar of Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship.  To walk in Continual Obedience.
  13. 13. Foundational Pursuit of a DGC #1 Corporate Application  Our Spiritual Worship as True Worshippers (John 4:23-24).  Bring a variety of expressions of thanksgiving, praise and worship to God from Vibrant Praise to Intentional Spiritual Songs.
  14. 14. Mark 12:31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.” Foundational Pursuit of a DGC #2 LOVE our brothers

  25. 25. Intentional DISCIPLESHIP in a DGC DG - a culture where We invest our time, energy and resources.  To sow, plant and water.  To win lives for the Lord.  To influence and impact lives with the aim of Making Disciples of Christ - Followers of Christ.

  30. 30. Profile of Disciples of Christ in a DGC Small Groups - the DG  Building strong believers.  Strong marriages and families.  Activating spiritual gifts to minister to one another.  Love covering offenses.  Knitted in love and unity.  Serving and working together.
  31. 31. Profile of Disciples of Christ in a DGC  Life to Life Mentoring. This is more personal - about relationships … about life impacting life … one at a time …  A commitment to invest what one has to value-add to another life.  This must be intentional, deliberate and formal.
