  1. 1. By Jack Bonser
  2. 2. I decided to call my artistsalbum “Life” this is because, as Ihave mentioned before, thelyrics of typical rap artists songsare stories or things that havehappened to the artist duringtheir Life, hence the name of thealbum. The blurred out effect on thebackground connotes the factthat the artist almost reveals hislife inside, in the lyrics.
  3. 3. Here my artist (to the right) is posing infront of a brick wall, to connote theurban/ street genre. Above is the artistWiz Khalifa posing using the „Eastside‟hand signal, these are conventionalbetween rap artists.
  4. 4. The main dominant image of thepage, again shows the artist posing,in this case pointing to the fact file, giving the sense that he is revealinghimself to his readers. As Imentioned before had signals/poses‟are conventional throughout allstreet/urban artists. The smaller tile image on the veryleft hand side, gives the sense thatthe artist is a sort of „Rude-Boy‟feeling.
  5. 5. The biggest image at the bottom of the page, gives the reader direct address between themand the artist, which gives the readersomething that they can relate back to theartist. The image in the middle is of my artist in theschools car park, this again connotes theurban side of the genre. The bottom rightimage is of my artist with a brick wall in thebackground, which again connotes the urbanside of the genre. This image also gives directaddress to the reader.
