  • 3. About • 1998 Band founded with two of the artists Emily Haines and James Shaw • Band was initially called Mainstream • Two other members joined the band in 2001
  • 4. Artists – Emily Haines on vocals – James Shaw on vocals and guitar – Joshua Winstead on bass guitar – Joules Scott-Key on drums

  • 7. Live It Out and Grow up and Blow Away • October 4th 2005 second album released • Sold twice as many copies as first album • Approached to open for Rolling Stones
  • 8. Worldwide touring • With second album a huge success travelled extensively • Including: France, Turkey Sweden, United States, Canada and more • The album was re-released 2001 with altered tracks
  • 9. Fantasies • Fourth album released April 7th 2009 • Bands best selling album
  • 10. Vancouver Olympics 2010 • The band came together with other Canadian artists to benefit the Haiti telethon in Vancouver • Performed acoustic version of Help I’m Alive
  • 11. Synthetica • Album released June 12th 2012 • Band used social media to secretly release new song • Had fans try to find the song through online media content
  • 12. SoundCloud • An early release of there song Synthetic became available here
