  • 📱The Results.
  • RideSmart ChicagoSimple.Helpful.Gestural.Personal.
  • Home ScreenSimple tap and go options for users. Riders can choosea station themselves, have the application find thenearest one, view their saved stations, or adjust theirsettings, all from the home screen.
  • Choose a LineSimply tap a line to see all the stations onthat line. To change train lines, swipe fromleft to right to see the “Choose a line” screenagain.
  • Choose a stationWhile choosing a station riders can seeexactly where the trains are and whichdirections they are heading. Choosing astation is as simple as tapping the one theywant. Update train locations by pulling andreleasing the top bar.Rotating the phone 90º quickly changes theroute direction eliminating the need to scrollthrough the entire list of stations.
  • Choose a stationSwiping from right to left on a station bringsup a contextual menu for riders. From themenu they can find friends on the train atthat station, look for other transit optionsnearby (e.g. buses arriving or departingsoon), save that station, or set an alarm whenthey arrive at that station.
  • Share with FriendsFrom the station contextual menu, selectingthe first item allows riders to share theirlocation on the train with friends, and alsosee where their friends are at on the train.Riders can choose the car they are enteringor on, and then on the next screen choosewhere in the car they are at. At the topriders can see which friend is in the train car,and where they are at.
  • Station InformationOnce riders choose a station, they can seethe station name, when the train will arriveat that location, and recent crimeinformation. Again, rotating the phone 90degrees will change the direction for riders,or they can simply tap the icon next to thestation information.Riders by default will see crime data for thatstation for the last week. Swiping from left toright on the Crimes bar, changes the dataview allowing riders to see a crime summaryover the last month. Other data such as howoften trains are delayed or on time at thestation could also be visualized.
