  • 3. OBIEE 11G Installation : Simple
    • Operating system – Win XP Professional
    • RAM 2GB (4GB would definitely be better)
    • We need to have Oracle 11gR2 installed
    • We need to run RCU – Repository creation utility which can be downloaded from OTN.
    • Location of the rcu.bat file in d:bishiphomercuHomebinrcu.bat
  • 4.
    • BI domain requires its own set of schemas (Metadata Services – MDS) & Business Intelligence Platform (BIPLATFORM)
    • Another BI domain will require its own set of MDS & BIPLATFORM.
    • We run RCU , to create the SCHEMAS & the TABLESPACES to which these schemas are associated
    • To accomplish the above we need to have SYSDBA privileges
    • DHCP – dynamic host configuration protocol – allows network devices to automatically obtain a valid IP address from the server. For computers having no permanent IP address we need to configure “Microsoft default Loopback adapter”
