EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
ArrivedOK lets air travelers automatically alert others that they’ve arrived at their
destination. The users begin by scheduling their flight with the destination airport and
expected arrival time, along with the phone numbers or emails of the contacts they’d like
to be notified once they arrive. When their plane lands and they turn their mobile phones
on, ArrivedOK tracks their cell phone in the local mobile network and instantly sends those
tailored ‘Arrived OK’ messages to the designated recipients via SMS, email, Twitter, blogs,
etc. The overall result is not just a simpler and easier process on the traveler's part, but
also a much less expensive one, since ArrivedOK alerts are remarkably cheaper than
calling or texting from abroad.

ArrivedOK suits both. You see, every time you travel by air, you call someone after your
landing that you arrived okay. ArrivedOK's idea is based on that common behavior; it is for
those people in the airplanes who grab their mobile phones after touchdown and start
calling and texting that they have landed fine, that is, in fact, most of us. We, basically do it
(a) for our loved one's peace of mind and (b) for fun and work. So, the (almost) real people
who enjoy ArrivedOK are:
Suzan, aged 23, a travel and texting junkie. She's also a money wise couch-surfer who wants to
save on international roaming charges while staying in touch with her many friends at home and
her hosts in the places she visits.
Martin, 40 yrs old IT manager and a fan of Douglas Adams, who travels a lot, loves his little

THE USER EXPERIENCE
Traveling by air is fraught with uncertainties, from delays to cancellations to lost bags.
The unique feature of ArrivedOK is that it alerts about one’s actual landing instead of flight
status in general, so one’s friends and family are 100 percent sure the person is landed
fine. Unlike other flight status services, which are based on general flight data from
dispatcher centers, ArrivedOK rely on particular subscriber’s mobile phone status. It really
tracks one’s actual appearance in the destination airport.
Оnly general web skills are needed to use the service; no hassle with WAP connections
anywhere in the world, mobile applications with thumbnail-sized GUI, or sending
complicated SMS commands. In fact, once a user set up her arrival data she doesn't have
to do anything else at all - the rest of the process is fully automatic, including the handling
of late/early arrivals.

MORE DETAILS: BEFORE THE FLIGHT
When you register at www.ArrivedOK.mobi you enter and authorize a
mobile phone number you'll be using during your trip. ArrivedOK will
be tracking that phone when you land. Then you schedule your flight
with the destination airport and expected arrival time. Finally, you enter
the recipients whom you want to notify about your landing. You can
compose personalized messages to be sent to different recipients at
once.
The tracking record can be created from your computer or a mobile
phone via ArrivedOK mobile web site. The picture below shows how
your tracking record finally looks like.

MORE DETAILS: AFTER LANDING
Shortly before the scheduled arrival time ArrivedOK starts looking for your mobile
phone at your destination by querying those local mobile networks. Based on
Eyeline's patent-pending technology, ArrivedOK makes that by using GSM global
signaling network.
When you land and turn on your mobile phone, it hooks up a mobile network.
ArrivedOK detects that and checks whether the place you arrived at matches the
destination airport in your tracking record. If it does, ArrivedOK immediately sends
your arrival alerts to the designated recipients and notifies you about that by SMS.

BEING MONEY WISE IN A TIME OF ECONOMIC HARDSHIP
ArrivedOK provides a low-cost alternative to text, mobile email, and voice calls when
traveling abroad as it allows you to bypass the hefty international roaming charges you’d
incur for these services.
For example, if an Orange UK subscriber makes 3 one-minute arrival calls from Singapore
to UK (e.g. to wife, mother, and a colleague), he totally pays about £4.35. If he sends 3
text messages instead, he pays £1.50. With ArrivedOk he can do that for just £0.50.
It is 3 to 8 times cheaper than calling or texting from abroad. To make the service
completely free for its users, advertiser-subsided model is also considered.

ANDREY DERIABIN
Before joining Eyeline Communications in 2004, Andrey Deriabin worked at Novosoft Inc.
Mobile and Wireless Division, where he was responsible for Marketing Communications,
and took part in implementation of Mobile Instant Messaging & Presence solutions (2002).
His background includes Social Psychology, Corporate Communications, and Media &
Cultural Studies. He taught Media and Communications at Novosibirsk State University
(1998-2001). Andrey has a degree in Information Technologies and MSc degree in Social
Psychology from London School of Economics and Political Science (1997).
ALEXEY SMELOV
ArrivedOK is Alexey's idea. Alexey held the position of Director New Technologies and VAS
at Mobile TeleSystems Siberia, Russia, where he was responsible for VAS Strategy,
International Roaming, the implementation of GPRS, EDGE and other systems in the
network. In 2002-04 Alexey was an active member of Terminals Working Group at GSM
Association, focusing on the specifications of handset multi-lingual support. Alexey joined
Eyeline Communications in 2006.
