This document discusses the IUGONET plug-in software UDAS for the TDAS data analysis system. UDAS provides load procedures for various ground-based observational upper atmospheric data from institutions participating in the IUGONET project. Products released so far include a metadata database containing over 1.68 million records and the UDAS data analysis software. Future plans include incorporating UDAS into TDAS and releasing an executable version that can run on IDL Virtual Machine environments without an IDL license. The goal of IUGONET and these products is to effectively distribute, analyze and promote comprehensive studies using upper atmospheric data from the past 50+ years.

What is UDAS?
Load procedures included in UDAS v2.00.1Load procedures included in UDAS v2.00.1
The software has been developed in collaboration
with ERG Science Center.
UDAS (IUGOENT Data Analysis Software) is a plug-in software of TDAS
and includes the load procedures for the ground-based observational
data distributed by the IUGONET institutions.
We have more upper atmospheric data to be released in future.
(e.g., all-sky images, keogram, solar images, etc.)

8. How to install UDAS
http://www.iugonet.org/en/software/install.html
0. If TDAS has not been
installed yet, download
TDAS and set it up.
1. Download UDAS from
the IUGONET website.
2. Unzip the downloaded
file.
3. Copy UDAS into any
directory you want.
4. Set IDL path to access
UDAS prior to TDAS.
The latest version is
v2.00.1 (for TDAS v7.00)

metadata database and data analysis software (UDAS)
to promote effective use of upper atmospheric data
taken by various ground-based observations.
The IUGONET products have been released.
UDAS is a plug-in software of TDAS and provides the
load procedures for the various ground-based
observational data distributed by each institution in
the IUGONET project.

In near future, UDAS will be packed into TDAS and
released from TDAS website. In addition, their
executable file that can run on IDL-VM will be released.
