Overview<br />Objectives<br />To drive greater adoption of registration by Sears customers (previous registration rates were extremely low) <br />Enhance the levels of overall customer engagement: UVs, page views, UGC, sharing<br />Deployment<br />JanRain RPX application to enable social login across customer communities, core e-commerce sites and loyalty programs<br />Results<br />Easier registration and login for customers, social publishing to main social networks e.g. reviews and comments, connections and access to multiple shopping accounts through SSO<br />Key benefits to Sears: increased registration, greater profile detail and targeting around customer accounts, increased customer engagement <br />Lessons Learned<br />Users of OpenID and Social were more frequent shoppers and on average spent more<br />Improve customer call to action from the start; when messaging improved so too did adoption and usage<br />2<br />
  • 3. Deployment<br />Data<br />Significant Increase (3x) in registrations, 1000-1500 logins/week in the first months<br />Social publishing enabled across platform, drove over 300K reviews in 2010<br />Enhanced SEO and referral traffic (Community generates over 1.7M UVs/month)<br />3<br />
