  • 2. The Killers are an American rock band from Las Vegas, Nevada. Formed in 2001 by Brandon Flowers and Dave Keuning. In 2002, Ronnie Vannucci Jr. and Mark Stoermer joined to complete the current line up. About the Band

Albums Hot Fuss (2004) -Hot Fuss (2004) - classified 6x Platinum by the BPI Sam’s Town (2006) -Sam’s Town (2006) - certified 4x Platinum in the UK, Platinum in U.S.A and 2x Platinum in Australia and Canada. Day & Age (2008) -Day & Age (2008) - certified 4x Platinum by the BPI.. Battle Born (2012) -Battle Born (2012) - voted the #2 album of 2012 Sold over 6 million albums in the USA, over 5 million in the UK and 20 million worldwide.

In 2005, The Killers were nominated for 3 Grammy Awards; Best rock album (Hot Fuss), and 2 awards for best rock song (Somebody Told Me) In the same year, they won a NME UK award for Best International Band In February 2007, The Killers won 2 awards, 1 for BestInternational Group and the other for Best International Album In 2008, the band picked up 2 awards in NME USA for Best Band & Best Track (Tranquilize). Sawdust was also nominated for Best Album In February 2009, The Killers for the third time won Best International Band Later on that year, the band were awarded the ASCAP awards’ highest honour, The Vanguard award, for their musical genre's "impact on the future of American music" Awards

  • 8. Wembley gig On the 22 of June 2013, The Killers preformed at Wembley Stadium. This was their first Stadium gig. 10 years to the date of their first UK show. The Gaslight Anthem and James supported The Killers at Wembley. Dave Keuning said in an interview with NME magazine that this is the highlight of their career “this is the peak of their Mount Everest”. They played to a 78,000 strong audience (me being one of them!)
