Finished in first place to secure Championship status. Finished 8th in the Championship. Martinez left Swansea to manage elsewhere. Paulo Sousa was the new manager. He got the Swans to 7 th place missing play offs by a point. Sousa left after the season was over. Brendan Rodgers secured Premier League status by beating Reading in the play off final.

Nathan Dyer is a speedy winger that helped Swansea gain promotion to the top league. He is known for his speed and ability to set up wonderful goals. 3. The Play off Final 30/05/11 Swansea 4 Reading 2 The Jack Army was fully loaded with a sell out allocation to witness the greatest game in Swansea’s history. A goal from Stephen Dobbie and a hat trick performed by Scott Sinclair sealed Premier League glory, The Jacks were 3-0 up by half time. Reading managed to secure two goals to make it an uncomfortable one goal lead. 22 minutes later Sinclair scored his second penalty of the game to make it 4-2. Swansea was finally awarded for all the hard work put in for all of the past seasons.
