    • Over the years the Lions have enjoyed many successes in matches. That is, regular matches. When it comes to test matches they hold a 40% win record. The table below displays the test matches the Lions have played and the wins/losses. From this it’s evident that South Africa and New Zealand are dominant. • The 2013 Lions tour was to take place in Australia. For this tour Warren Gatland was selected as head coach, while Wales’ captain Sam Warburton was selected as captain. The initial squad consisted of 37 men, made up of 15 Welsh, 10 English, 9 Irish and 3 Scottish. Before the tour, which took place in June/July of 2013 the Lions had won 15 of their 20 tests against Australia. Made byMade by ArveduiArvedui Property of National Assembly for Wales
    • Sam Warburton was named the captain at the age of 24, becoming the youngest man to lead the Lions. Other men that were a part of the Lions Squad included: Leigh Halfpenny, Adam Jones and Brian O’Driscoll. For a period of three days former Welsh international Shane Williams was called up to join the squad for the game against the Brumbies. • It went well, ending with a 2-1 victory over Australia. It was the first test series win since beating South Africa in 1997. The Lions only suffered two losses during the entirety of the tour. The first being a 14-12 to the Brumbies, with the second being a 16- 15 loss to Australia during the second test match. A total of 10 Welsh players started during the third and deciding test match against Australia, with Alun Wyn Jones leading the squad to a 16-41 victory. The largest victory during the tour was 64-0 against the Combined NSW-QLD Country. Made byMade by ArveduiArvedui

    • The next Lions tour will be to New Zealand in 2017. The Lions have played 11 test series against New Zealand, and have only won 1 of them. Out of 38 games played against them they’ve only won a total of 6. With 3 games drawn and a huge 29 loses. This gives them a 16% win rate. New Zealand is also the cause of the Lions biggest defeat. Losing 38–6 in 1983. Made byMade by ArveduiArvedui Property of Kiwi Flickr
