There are a lot of different roles available in I.T, you could be a practitioner, a business admin, a teacher, a programmer, a systems ana- lyst and many more interesting things. Pretty much every industry revolves around I.T these days, you won’t only need I.T skills if you plan on going for a job with a name like “IT Sup- port Technician” You’re going to need computer skills no matter what. When asking people who worked in I.T what their favourite parts of the job are, some said that they really en- joyed the feeling they got from help- ing people learn and understand, oth- ers said that the feeling of finally working out a problem that has been taunting you for weeks was the best, a lot said that the variety of the job was best. When asked what the worst parts were, the main consensus was that the hours aren’t very kind, especially when you try to keep balance social and work lives.
