  9. 9. <ul><li>Fully implemented law on Electronic Signature. </li></ul><ul><li>Accredited the first Issuer of Qualified Electronic Certificate. </li></ul><ul><li>By the end of 2009 more than 20,000 companies will have qualified electronic certificates and citizens will be able to use the certificates on their ID cards. </li></ul><ul><li>E-document legislation is pending adoption in the parliament. </li></ul><ul><li>Broadband strategy is due by end of June. </li></ul>E-Signature and E-document Legislation Government of the Republic Serbia - Ministry for Telecommunications and Information Society
  10. 10. <ul><li>The Ministry offered support to eBay/PayPal in facilitating communication with other state institutions and removal of barriers for market entry. </li></ul><ul><li>In response, PayPal stated that Serbia is already in their expansion plan for 2010. </li></ul><ul><li>The Ministry will initiate drafting a national strategy for E-Commerce ( due by December 2009, laws and bylaws due by December 2010) </li></ul><ul><li>Importance of transforming traditional business models in order to encapsulate Internet market (comtradeshop.com, pakom.com, etc…). </li></ul>E-commerce Government of the Republic Serbia - Ministry for Telecommunications and Information Society
