  1. 1. Dayton Dragons Professional Baseball Seasonal Sports Turf InternThe Dayton Dragons are looking for twoseasonal Sports Turf interns for the 2012season. These positions offer a greatopportunity for hands on experience in allaspects of Sports Turf Management at FifthThird Field. The Dragons first appeared inDayton in 2000, and have sold out everygame since. In 2011, the Dayton Dragonsset the professional baseball sellout recordwith 815 consecutive sellouts. A completefield renovation will be completed by thestart of the 2012 season.As an intern, duties would include maintaining the infield clay, mounds, and home plateto Professional Baseball standards. Also, experience will be gained with edging,fertilizer/fungicide applications, aerifying and topdressing, mound/plate work, battingpractice set up/break down, and warning track maintenance.This position requires being able to lift 50 lbs consistently, and work 40+ hours includingmost weekends during the season.
