we need to know how Satan works. We need to know something of his character, something of his person, something of his approach. And since we have the Word of God which unmasks Satan's disguises and which reveals his schemes, there's really no reason to be ignorant. What we're attempting to do in our study together is simply open the pages of the Word of God and show you what God has revealed about our enemy.

 2. 2. Satanic…!!:Satan'sFootstepsby: Jalal Khawaldhjalal.khawaldh@yahoo.com
3. 3. Satan:Arabic: شيطانShaitanHebrew: הַשָׂטָן ha-Satan Persian "sheytânSatan-Shaitan- devil- Iblis – شيطان
4. 4. (1)

The holy Quran: (Al-Baqara: 30)
Behold, thy Lord said to the angels: "I will create a vicegerent on earth." They said: "Wilt Thou place therein one who will make mischief therein and shed blood?- whilst we do celebrate Thy praises and glorify Thy holy (name)?" He said: "I know what ye know not."
5. 5. Details:
What had happened was this: Allah had created Adam, alayh as salaam, out of clay, to be Allah’s representative (khaleefah) on earth, and had ordered the angels to bow down to Adam, alayh as-salaam, to show their respect to him. Angels, being obedient to Allah by nature, had obeyed and fallen down in prostration to Adam, alayh as-salaam. Iblees, however, was a Jinne, not an angel, and he felt too proud to make (sajdah) to Adam, alayh as-salaam. (Being a Jinn, Iblees was capable of both obeying Allah and disobeying Allah, just as we humans are).
6. 6.
The holy Quran: (Al-Kahf: 50)
Behold! We said to the angels, "Bow down to Adam": They bowed down except Iblis. He was one of the Jinns, and he broke the Command of his Lord. Will ye then take him and his progeny as protectors rather than Me? And they are enemies to you! Evil would be the exchange for the wrong-doers!
(2)
Broking the first Command:
7. 7. The holy Quran: (Al-Baqara: 34)
And behold, We said to the angels: "Bow down to Adam" and they bowed down. Not so Iblis: he refused and was haughty: He was of those who reject Faith.
8. 8. He refused to obey Allah’s direct command, saying that he was superior to Adam, alayh as-salaam, because Adam was made from clay and he from fire. Iblees was rejected by Allah for this disobedience and arrogance, and was banished from Allah’s nearness. To this day, Iblees has never repented of his arrogance and he continues to rebel against Allah, encouraging people to join him in disobedience.
Details:
9. 9. (3)
The holy Quran: (Al-Baqara: 35)
"وَقُلْنَا يَا آدَمُ اسْكُنْ أَنْتَ وَزَوْجُكَ الْجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَٰذِهِ الشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ“We said: "O Adam! dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden; and eat of the bountiful things therein as (where and when) ye will; but approach not this tree, or ye run into harm and transgression."
10. 10. The holy Quran: (Al-Baqara: 36)
Then did Satan make them slip from the (garden), and get them out of the state (of felicity) in which they had been. We said: "Get ye down, all (ye people), with enmity between yourselves. On earth will be your dwelling-place and your means of livelihood - for a time."
11. 11. The holy Quran: (Al-A'raaf: 20)
Then began Satan to whisper suggestions to them, bringing openly before their minds all their shame that was hidden from them (before): he said: "Your Lord only forbade you this tree, lest ye should become angels or such beings as live forever."
whispering suggestions
13. 13. As for Adam, alayh as-salaam, he and his wife Hawwa were placed by Allah in the Garden of Paradise. At this time, Iblees nurtured a deep hatred and jealousy against Adam, alayh as-salaam, because of the great honor and rank that Allah had given him—a rank that Iblees felt he should have had. So Iblees came to Adam and Hawwa, alayhima as-salaam, and succeeded in tricking them into eating from the forbidden tree, which Allah had commanded them not to go near. Allah was angry with Adam and Hawwa, alayhima as-salaam, for disobeying his command.
Details:
14. 14. Now: The question is:
do you think Satan is your friend or your enemy?
- If Satan is your friend?! Please ...just go..

But if you realized that Satan is really your enemy, then we need to know how he works.

Let us together try -By Quran- explores Satan character in an effort to explode the myths that he has authored to hide his true self.
15. 15. We have already seen that one of his most clever ploys is to make men believe that he doesn't exist. If there is no enemy then there doesn't need to be any defense, and if there is no defense then victory is easy. For those who insist on believing that he exists, Satan would rather set forth false ideas about himself. That he does exist but he's something less than what he really is.
16. 16. Satan caused to fail..

The holy Quran: (Aal-i-Imraan: 155)
Those of you who turned back on the day the two hosts Met,-it was Satan who caused them to fail, because of some (evil) they had done. But Allah Has blotted out (their fault): For Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Forbearing.
17. 17. Satan wants to lead people astray far away from the right

The holy Quran: (An-Nisaa: 60)

Hast thou not turned Thy vision to those who declare that they believe in the revelations that have come to thee and to those before thee? Their (real) wish is to resort together for judgment (in their disputes) to the Evil One, though they were ordered to reject him. But Satan's wish is to lead them astray far away (from the right).
18. 18. The cunning of Satan is feeble indeed
The holy Quran: (An-Nisaa: 76)

Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah, and those who reject Faith Fight in the cause of Evil: So fight ye against the friends of Satan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Satan.
19. 19. Fallen into the clutches of Satan

The holy Quran: (An-Nisaa: 83)
When there comes to them some matter touching (Public) safety or fear, they divulge it. If they had only referred it to the Messenger, or to those charged with authority among them, the proper investigators would have Tested it from them (direct). Were it not for the Grace and Mercy of Allah unto you, all but a few of you would have fallen into the clutches of Satan.
20. 20. Who Takes Satan as a friend

The holy Quran: (An-Nisaa: 119)
"I will mislead them, and I will create in them false desires; I will order them to slit the ears of cattle, and to deface the (fair) nature created by Allah." Whoever, forsaking Allah, takes Satan for a friend, hath of a surety suffered a loss that is manifest.
21. 21. Satan’s promises
The holy Quran: (An-Nisaa: 120)

Satan makes them promises, and creates in them false desires; but Satan's promises are nothing but deception.
22. 22. Intoxicants and gambling: Satan's handwork

The holy Quran: (Al-Maaida: 90)

O ye who believe! Intoxicants and gambling, (dedication of) stones, and (divination by) arrows, are an abomination,- of Satan's handwork: eschew such (abomination), that ye may prosper.
23. 23. Satan’s plan
The holy Quran: (Al-Maaida: 91)

Satan's plan is (but) to excite enmity and hatred between you, with intoxicants and gambling, and hinder you from the remembrance of Allah, and from prayer: will ye not then abstain?
24. 24. Satan’s actions-1
The holy Quran: (Al-An'aam: 43)

When the suffering reached them from us, why then did they not learn humility? On the contrary their hearts became hardened, and Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them.
25. 25. Satan’s actions-2
The holy Quran: (Al-Anfaal: 48)

Remember Satan made their (sinful) acts seem alluring to them, and said: "No one among men can overcome you this day, while I am near to you": But when the two forces came in sight of each other, he turned on his heels, and said: "Lo! I am clear of you; lo! I see what ye see not; Lo! I fear Allah: for Allah is strict in punishment."
26. 26. Satan’s actions-3
The holy Quran: (An-Nahl: 63)

By Allah, We (also) sent (Our messengers) to Peoples before thee; but Satan made, (to the wicked), their own acts seem alluring: He is also their patron today, but they shall have a most grievous penalty.
27. 27. Satan’s actions-4
The holy Quran: (An-Naml: 24)
"I found her and her people worshipping the sun besides Allah: Satan has made their deeds seem pleasing in their eyes, and has kept them away from the Path,- so they receive no guidance.
28. 28. Satan’s actions-5

The holy Quran: (Al-Qasas:15)

And he entered the city at a time when its people were not watching: and he found there two men fighting,- one of his own religion, and the other, of his foes. Now the man of his own religion appealed to him against his foe, and Moses struck him with his fist and made an end of him. He said: "This is a work of Evil (Satan): for he is an enemy that manifestly misleads!"
29. 29. Satan ever makes thee forget

The holy Quran: (Al-An'aam: 68)
When thou seest men engaged in vain discourse about Our signs, turn away from them unless they turn to a different theme. If Satan ever makes thee forget, then after recollection, sit not thou in the company of those who do wrong.
30. 30. Satan's footsteps-1
The holy Quran: (Al-An'aam: 142)

Of the cattle are some for burden and some for meat: eat what Allah hath provided for you, and follow not the footsteps of Satan: for he is to you and avowed enemy.
31. 31. Satan's footsteps-2
The holy Quran: (An-Noor:21)

O ye who believe! follow not Satan's footsteps: if any will follow the footsteps of Satan, he will (but) command what is shameful and wrong: and were it not for the grace and mercy of Allah on you, not one of you would ever have been pure: but Allah doth purify whom He pleases: and Allah is One Who hears and knows (all things).
32. 32. Satan seduce you

The holy Quran: (Al-A'raaf:27)

O ye Children of Adam! Let not Satan seduce you, in the same manner as He got your parents out of the Garden, stripping them of their raiment, to expose their shame: for he and his tribe watch you from a position where ye cannot see them: We made the evil ones friends (only) to those without faith.
33. 33. Satan followed a man up
The holy Quran: (Al-A'raaf: 175)

Relate to them the story of the man to whom We sent Our signs, but he passed them by: so Satan followed him up, and he went astray.
34. 34. suggestion from Satan
The holy Quran: (Al-A'raaf: 200)

If a suggestion from Satan assail thy (mind), seek refuge with Allah; for He heareth and knoweth (all things).
35. 35. thought of evil from Satan
The holy Quran: (Al-A'raaf: 201)

Those who fear Allah, when a thought of evil from Satan assaults them, bring Allah to remembrance, when lo! they see (aright)!
36. 36. Remove the stain of Satan
The holy Quran: (Al-Anfaal: 11)

Remember He covered you with a sort of drowsiness, to give you calm as from Himself, and he caused rain to descend on you from heaven, to clean you therewith, to remove from you the stain of Satan, to strengthen your hearts, and to plant your feet firmly therewith.
37. 37. Satan is an avowed enemy-1
The holy Quran: (Yusuf: 5)

Said (the father): "My (dear) little son! relate not thy vision to thy brothers, lest they concoct a plot against thee: for Satan is to man an avowed enemy!
38. 38. Satan is an avowed enemy-2
The holy Quran: (Al-Israa: 53)

Say to My servants that they should (only) say those things that are best: for Satan doth sow dissensions among them: For Satan is to man an avowed enemy.
39. 39. Satan sown enmity between brothers
The holy Quran: (Yusuf: 100)

And he raised his parents high on the throne (of dignity), and they fell down in prostration, (all) before him. He said: "O my father! this is the fulfillment of my vision of old! Allah hath made it come true! He was indeed good to me when He took me out of prison and brought you (all here) out of the desert, (even) after Satan had sown enmity between me and my brothers. Verily my Lord understandeth best the mysteries of all that He planneth to do, for verily He is full of knowledge and wisdom.
40. 40. Satan's promises

The holy Quran: (Al-Israa: 64)

"Lead to destruction those whom thou canst among them, with thy (seductive) voice; make assaults on them with thy cavalry and thy infantry; mutually share with them wealth and children; and make promises to them." But Satan promises them nothing but deceit.
41. 41. Satan will say: I failed in my promise to you

The holy Quran: (Ibrahim: 22)

And Satan will say when the matter is decided: "It was Allah Who gave you a promise of Truth: I too promised, but I failed in my promise to you. I had no authority over you except to call you but ye listened to me: then reproach not me, but reproach your own souls. I cannot listen to your cries, nor can ye listen to mine. I reject your former act in associating me with Allah. For wrong-doers there must be a grievous penalty."
42. 42. Satan needs you to forget
The holy Quran: (Al-Kahf: 63)

He replied: "Sawest thou (what happened) when we betook ourselves to the rock? I did indeed forget (about) the Fish: none but Satan made me forget to tell (you) about it: it took its course through the sea in a marvellous way!"
43. 43. Satan is a rebel against (Allah)
The holy Quran: (Maryam: 44)

"O my father! serve not Satan: for Satan is a rebel against (Allah) Most Gracious.
44. 44. Satan’s friend
The holy Quran: (Maryam: 45)

"O my father! I fear lest a Penalty afflict thee from (Allah) Most Gracious, so that thou become to Satan a friend."
45. 45. Satan throwing vanity into desires

The holy Quran: (Al-Hajj: 52)

Never did we send a messenger or a prophet before thee, but, when he framed a desire, Satan threw some (vanity) into his desire: but Allah will cancel anything (vain) that Satan throws in, and Allah will confirm (and establish) His Signs: for Allah is full of Knowledge and Wisdom:
46. 46. suggestions by Satan

The holy Quran: (Al-Hajj: 53)

That He may make the suggestions thrown in by Satan, but a trial for those in whose hearts is a disease and who are hardened of heart: verily the wrong-doers are in a schism far (from the Truth):
47. 47. Satan’s invitation -1

The holy Quran: (Luqman: 21)

When they are told to follow the (Revelation) that Allah has sent down, they say: "Nay, we shall follow the ways that we found our fathers (following). "What! even if it is Satan beckoning them to the Penalty of the (Blazing) Fire?
48. 48. Satan’s invitation -2

The holy Quran: (Faatir: 6)
Verily Satan is an enemy to you: so treat him as an enemy. He only invites his adherents, that they may become Companions of the Blazing Fire.
49. 49. Children of Adam : that ye should not worship Satan

The holy Quran: (Yaseen: 60)

"Did I not enjoin on you, O ye Children of Adam, that ye should not worship Satan; for that he was to you an enemy avowed?-
