Project Goal j The goal of the project is to build the individual and institutional capacity Technical knowledge of using satellite images in utilizing in producing products & information and demonstrate the potential of space based technologies (remote sensing/GPS/GIS) for management and reduction of risks due to natural disasters using case study/studies t d / t di

Modules to Achieve the Goal Module 1: Needs Survey visiting each country Module 2: Development of easy-reading material introducing GIS/GPS/RS and Application to DRR Module 3: 1-Day Seminar to increase awareness y Module 4: 5 Days Hands-on Training Module 5: 2 Regional Conferences in Thailand and Indonesia

Target about 70-80 participants Module 4 Carryout at least 5 day technical training locally based on at y y g y least one case study. 30-40 participants given facilities. Module 5 Conduct 2 Regional Workshops in Thailand & Indonesia to share the gained knowledge and networking in the region.
