Nano Particle Trapping by Ultra-Short Tweezer and Wells Using Microring Resonator Interferometer System for Spectroscopy Application

The use of microring resonators (MRRs) has shown promising applications in the microscale regime. We propose a MRR interferometer system for optical spectroscopy use. Atom/photons are fed into the system by adding the dark soliton pulses, where the Gaussian beam with central wavelength of λ0 = 1.5 μm is inserted into the input port. The dark soliton-Gaussian beam collision results on generation of stable optical tweezer with FWHM, FSR and optical depth of 0.8 nm, 3.1 nm and 10.8 mW and potential well with FWHM, FSR and optical depth of 2 nm, 2.7 nm and 293 mW respectively. The output photons from the drop port pass through the object, interact with the surface and will be reflected back into the interferometer system. The collision process can be controlled within the control port, where the interference signal is observed at the through port. Here, the output power deviation from the through port when the target is not in contact with the system and when it interacts with the soliton pulses from the drop port can be determine and analyzed. Thus, a nano atom/photon trapping and transmission system can be implemented within the MRR interferometer system for optical spectroscopy and material's surface analysis.
