  • 2. Cisco Aironet 1140---Ciscos newest 802.11n access point• Ciscos newest 802.11n access point is part of the vendors plan to make 11n the default choice for enterprise wireless LANs. Key elements: sleek design, new "beamforming" technology, full 11n with existing PoE, better performance for 11a/g clients, 11n financing programs and trade-in discounts http://www.router-switch.com/Price-cisco-wireless-ap-1140- series-access-point_c57
  • 3. The Aironet 1140 will supplant Ciscos first 11n product, Aironet1250 (shown here), released 18 months ago. The new producthas the same base price ($1,299 for the 2-radio model, slightlyless for 1), but has a sleeker design and case, built-in antennasinstead of separately-priced external ones, and is less than halfthe 5.1 pound weight of the older product. http://www.router-switch.com/Price-cisco-wireless-ap- 1140-series-access-point_c57
  • 4. Works with existing Cisco WLAN controllers (shown: 4400 Controller models), with Unified Wireless Network Software version 5.2. 1- or 2-radio models; 2.4- and 5- Ghz bands; 2x3 antenna configuration, for 2 spatial streams; 20- and 40-MHz channels; PHY data rate: 300Mbps per radio Antennas: internal 1 gigabit Ethernet port; one management console port (RJ45) Security : 802.11i, Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) and WPA2, 802.1x authentication, AES and TKIP ; several Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) types Wi-Fi Multimedia (WIMM) supporthttp://www.router-switch.com/Price-cisco-wireless-ap-1140- series-access-point_c57
  • 5. Cisco engineers went through the 1140 design with a fine-toothed comb to cutpower use or make it more efficient wherever possible. The result: one of thefew, if not the only, 11n access points that can run two radios with full 11nperformance, and handle full data encryption, all on a standard 802.3af PoEinfrastructure. That means you can just plug it into a Cisco 3750 PoE switch(shown). http://www.router-switch.com/Price-cisco-wireless-ap-1140- series-access-point_c57
