一则小故事 A Short Story music: imee ooi 般若心经

一人去寺庙参拜观音菩萨。 A man went to a temple to pray to Bodhisattva Guangyi.

几叩首后，这人突然发现身边一人也在参拜， After bowing a few times, this man realized that another person by his side was praying too .

且模样与供台上的观音菩萨一模一样。 And this person looked exactly like the Bodhisattva Guangyi on the altar.

此人大惑不解，轻声问道： This man was baffled and asked softly :

“ 您是观音菩萨吗？” ” Are you Bodhisattva Guangyin ? “

那人答：“是。” “ Yes, I am”, replied that person.

此人更加迷惑，又问： This man was more puzzled and asked again :

“ 那您自己为什么还要参拜呢？” ‘ Why are you praying to yourself then ?”

观音菩萨答： Bodhisattva Guangyi replied:

“ 因为我知道，求人不如求己 “ “ Because I know that it is better to depend on yourself than on other”

静思： 自立自强最终才有成就。 Reflection: God helps those who help themselves.

修持提升身心的路，只能靠自己走。 In mental cultivation for inner peace, we have to walk the path ourself . English translation : ipohteh
