Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata. An individual can appear from any of these
centers
A law degree is not essential for appearing in this exam

4. Exam Paper Format
The exam is structured into three parts:
First part includes 40 objective type
questions of one mark each

questions of 60 marks on drafting of claims

6. Eligibility Criteria for Patent Exam
The applicant should have completed 21 years of age and should be
an Indian citizen
Graduates in technology and science from recognized universities
under Indian law or any other equivalent degree holder from a central
university are eligible to appear for the exam
Candidates in their final year can also appear after producing mark
sheets, final degree etc. within two months of the declaration of the
patent agent exam results
