Janne In the beginning there were the customer, the laptop - and the entrepreneur: Janne. *
  4. 4. BIG CORP. I try to control everything! ! I am not allowed to use my brain! I have an idea but I don’t know who could help me. I block information I follow orders! Applying: Change ! As a learning and development professional, Janne had noticed that the world was getting too complex for rigid processes and hierarchies.

  6. 6. Idea Doers Helpers Followers 1 9 90 Janne came up with an idea that could change the way people connect, share and develop expertise within organizations. “Swarm work” I know design! I know the technology! I know the process! I know the customer! Customer wants to integrate our service to their process xyz..

  8. 8. Our journey began on this tiny kitchen table by doing a business plan and market research.
  9. 9. Sources of funds 2008 Sales revenue 20.000 € Bank loan 10.000 € Grant (Tekes) 9.500 € ** Grant (TE-keskus) 6.500 € * Total 46.000 € We received a start-up grant from ELY-centre and a preparation grant from TEKES. Some revenue was made through consulting and training services.

  11. 11. In 2009 Intunex was accepted to the new Aalto Start-Up Center.
  12. 12. The incubator offered a space to meet other entrepreneurs and arrange events to potential customers and experts on the field.
  13. 13. First mockups and a demo-version of “xTune”-service were designed and developed.
  14. 14. While the global financial crisis hit the world, Intunex received recognition for the efforts to overcome the recession.
  15. 15. In 2009 some revenue was made through consulting and training services. All money was spent on product development. Sales

  17. 17. In the beginning of 2010 Head of Development Jaakko joined the hive.
  18. 18. Intunex received a lot of help and advice from it’s friends, fans and followers.
  19. 19. Janne got also a lot of peer support from his fellow “friendtrepreneurs”.
  20. 20. The beta-version of “xTune” was launched.
  21. 21. customer x In 2010 we received the first paying customers for xTune-service. Sales
  22. 22. 2011
  23. 23. In 2011 Intunex flew away from the incubator to it’s first own office in Ullanlinna.
  24. 24. Janne kept running to different events to evangelize the idea of swarm work.
  25. 25. The motivation of the head of development were nurtured in carefully selected ways.
  26. 26. A new version of “xTune” was launched and the focus of the service started to crystallize.

  29. 29. Intunex won the most prestigious award for interactive learning in Finland - eEemeli 2012.
  30. 30. The prize money was spent to develop a new UI and the mobile (responsive) version of “xTune”.
  31. 31. Intunex was selected to compete for the most innovative HR technology award against over 300 HR tech startups around the world.
  32. 32. We were awarded in the finals as a best start-up finalist (4th place).
  33. 33. The Finnish press and media noticed our success and gave us a lot of credit.
  34. 34. In 2012 Intunex hired Jere as a First Impression Manager to help in sales and marketing.
  35. 35. Intunex partnered with HR4 - the leading HR consulting company in Finland.
  36. 36. customer x We started to put more effort to sales and the sales revenue increased considerably. Sales

  38. 38. We sponsored HR Tech Europe 2013 conference and got an opportunity to demonstrate our technology to international HR leaders and professionals.
  39. 39. We received a lot of positive attention from international customers and HR technology experts.
  40. 40. In 2013 sales increased again and we got many new customer, some of them operating globally. customer x Sales

  42. 42. The story continues from here at the new office in Pasila.
  43. 43. We have come far, but in 2014 we want to take it to the next level.
  44. 44. As a sign of the new phase of our journey, our service will be launched under a new name...
