How do Developers make money? • Developers set subscription billing plan for application • Intuit charges Revenue Share % + Usage Fee • Intuit retains 20% • Intuit charges to developers are tiered (more users, lower charges) • Revenue Share covers: • Billing including payment processing fees, billing infrastructure and the “checkout” experience • Marketing and support services 19

How do Developers make money? • Usage Fee = amount of time (in whole hours) a Licensee (End-User) spends using a Developer Application multiplied by the amount of data (in megabytes) the subscriber stores in the Application • More about Usage Fee at: http://ipp.developer.intuit.com/3_FAQ • Each month, Intuit calculates the following and pays the developer: End-user License Fees - Revenue Share - Usage Fee - Taxes - Transactional Deductions (e.g. refunds) ______________________________________ = Developer Fee 20

How do Developers make money? • Revenue Share & Usage Fees based on a tiered schedule • Each month Intuit calculates the number of Active Users, excluding all free trial users of your application Number of Revenue Share Usage Fee Active Users (based on License Fees) (based on Monthly Usage) up to 1,000 20% 10¢ per MbHr 1,001 to 10,000 18% 8¢ per MbHr 10,001 to 100,000 16% 6¢ per MbHr over 100,000 14% 4¢ per MbHr 21

Today: • Establish length of free trial period (in days) • Price subscription rates for discrete # of users • Intuit automatically charges End-User accounts and collects subscription fees monthly on the anniversary date of the application subscription • No billing event can be below $5 22
