Contextualization goes deeper and examines factors such as how dated is a given set of skills and where in the applicant’s career path did they acquire experience in a subject area. Semantic search technology – software that essentially counts keywords. Using a targeted keyword multiple times could be interpreted by the ATS as a positive resume for a certain position. Overly formatted resumes embedded with pictures, graphics, bullets, tables and logos can be incompatible with most ATS software. Keywords are king, no matter what technology is used Intuit Proprietary & Confidential
