  • 6. NSA REFORM “Tension between freedom from government and the freedom that only the government can allow us to have. . . . End of the day we have to keep our citizens safe.” Opposes. As criminal defense lawyer, he is only candidate who appreciates the difference between when “Government acts as your friend versus when it acts as your foe.” Surveillance program “completely unconstitutional”. Introduced legislation to limit state support unless there is a warrant. Would like to see the NSA shut down.

Would oppose any blanket one-size fits all that doesn’t deal with [internet traffic management].” Strongly supports. Strongly supports. Strongly supports, since “Internet is last bastion for equal opportunity for expression of opinion or entrepreneurship”.
  • 8. TRANS-PACIFIC PARTNERSHIP FAST TRACK “I’m always in favor of free trade . . . I like the Trans-Pacific Partnership.” Opposes TPP and Fast Track. Opposes TPP and Fast Track Opposes TPP as multinational corporate attempt to “override US sovereignty.”
