Goals of the K-12 Ohio Model <ul><li>K-12 students from school districts throughout Ohio can begin the study of Chinese language and culture early in their school careers . </li></ul><ul><li>Create a clear pathway for continuing through college either at OSU or at other institutions of higher learning offering advanced-level Chinese . </li></ul>

Objectives of the Ohio Model <ul><li>B uild a scalable model that increases the number, size, and quality of Chinese language and culture programs in Ohio school districts; </li></ul><ul><li>C reate opportunities for active and close cooperation among these same districts; </li></ul><ul><li>B uild a diverse “learning community” of urban, suburban, and rural districts with support from the OSU Chinese Flagship . </li></ul>
