  3. 3. INTRODUCCIÓ Berlin is the capital of Germany. Berlin has got 3,4 millions inhabitants. Berlin is a 70 km from the border of Poland
  4. 4. OLD BERLINIn 1200 were founded two towns called Berlin and Cölln. In 1237 Berlin was called the capitals of the Kingdom of Prussia of the German Empire. In 1307 Berlin and Cölln were joined forming the city; Berlin.
  5. 5. BERLIN’S HISTORYAt the end of the SecondWorld War, Berlin wasdivided in 4 sectors likeGermany.East Berlin was for USSRand west Berlin was divided in3 sectors (Western Berlin).
  6. 6. EST BERLIN AND WEST BERLINEast Berlin, was the capital Deutsche Demokratische Republik, and west Berlin was a part of BDR . To separate the two territories the DDR built the Berlin wall. On November 9th 1989 the Berlin wall was destroyed.
