  2. 2. History <ul><li>State School of  Finance  and </li></ul><ul><li>Management “Intellect” </li></ul><ul><li>was set up in Pleven in 1990 </li></ul><ul><li>be its first director Mrs Nina Miteva. </li></ul><ul><li>At present it is headed by Emil Raikov </li></ul>
  3. 3. <ul><li>It is a vocational school with economic </li></ul><ul><li>bias and intensive study of </li></ul><ul><li>foreignlanguages and provides </li></ul><ul><li>t raining in eight specialities to </li></ul><ul><li>students from the 8th to the 12 th </li></ul><ul><li>grade. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Students <ul><li>Over 90 %  of the school-leavers continue their education in </li></ul><ul><li>universities in this country and abroad – most often Germany, </li></ul><ul><li>the USA or  Great Britain. </li></ul>
  5. 5. T eachers <ul><li>The general and vocational subjects are taught by qualified teachers who rely on innovative and interactive methods in their approach to the syllabuses as well as in the extra-curricular activities. </li></ul>

E ducational programmes <ul><li>Successful work has been done within the framework of the educational programmes of the European Union – “Leonardo da Vinci”: “Communication Systems in Management Today” project (2004) and “ Staff Management in Small and Medium Business” (2006); “Socrates”, “ Komenski”: “Festivals and Holidays in Europe”,  and “Junior Achievement”, </li></ul>

The Students Company <ul><li>The Students Co mpany “Junior Achievement”, which has been in operation since 1998, was transformed into a vocational-training firm, whose members have remarkable achievements in the field of advertising, public speaking, and business ethics at national and international competitions and conferences. </li></ul>
  8. 8. T he device <ul><li>Staff and students are open for new ideas, partners and opportunities, which can motivate young people to fulifil the device </li></ul><ul><li>“ It’s for life, not for school that we prepare”. </li></ul>
