If this 50%population decides to add value to rest of the 50% of the populations, the world wouldbe the better place”.These are the words of Ms Hina Hazrat, 24 year old student pursuing her undergraduate degree inphysiology at University of Karachi at Pakistan, a Social Activist operating an NGO called, TheYouth Republic in Pakistan and involved in several social activities related to WomenEmpowerment and Women’s right in general. Hina is an Active Member and Local representativefrom Pakistan and represented Pakistan at Challenge Future Global Summit where 80 peopleinvited from 45 countries. She spoke in an event organized by Challenge:Future and InsightHR atXcellon Institute, Ahmedabad.Challenge:Future is a global youth think do tank creating a community of talent and ideas for theworld that works for all. Through future thinking and collaboration, they inspire tomorrow’s talentand connect them with today’s opportunities via web based Competition, Global Summit and theirglobal publication called Future Book.Challenge Future in 2011 - More than 24,000 community members from 214 countries and territories - 9 challenges - 1469 innovative ideas - 2,10,000 volunteering hours - 2,70,000 lives impactedWe at Insight HR and Training Consultants, always strive to build up an eco system that focuses onthe Competencies instead of mere skill and knowledge. We perceive definite gap between Industryand Academics in terms of the expectations. To envisage our vision of Competencies Development, Insight HR and Training Consultants hasapproached Mr. Jatin Kataria, President - Challenge Future India Professional Chapter anddiscussed the issues faced by the youth. We decided to work at a grass root level and initiated ourfirst program on “Building Competencies for the Students: Learning Effective Hiring Skills”. Theprogram was aimed at building competencies to Final Year HR Students. We briefed this idea toMr. Devang Patel, a Visionary and Academic In charge at Xcellon Institute, Ahmedabad. XcellonInstitute is an Education initiative of the founders of a global IPR driven major pharmaceuticalcompany . Mr. Devang Patel agreed to give his support and we decided to initiate the workshop on24th April 2012, at the campus of Xcellon Institute, Ahmedabad.The agenda of the event was to brief Students about the objectives of Challenge:Future, Vision andthought process behind the workshop series. On 24th April 2012, during the event, Mr. DhavalHansaliya, Manager (International Business Development) - Hidden brains infotech and a coreteam member of CF India professional chapter has started the discussion by sharing his experienceswith Challenge: Future, Networking Possibilities through Challenges and Summit, Possibilities ofSharing Ideas with Global Network and possibilities of Incubating innovations.Dr Dharmesh Bhadja, Vice President of Challenge:Future India Professional Chapter wasconnected through Skype and delighted to see the interest level of Xcellon Students. He alsoshared his experiences and briefed students about the activities of Challenge Future, Vision andpossibilities of connecting with global youth and share about his CF Global health savior project.Ms Hina Hazrat was also connected through Skype from Pakistan. Hina shared her perspective andobjective of connecting with Challenge:Future. She is a social activist and did several socialactivities for Women Empowerment, Polio Eradication etc earlier which were noticed andappreciated by global community through Challenge:Future. She is now International Ambassadorof global projects. She shared that today she has partners in Malaysia and Singapore who areworking on her projects, thanks to Challenge:Future. Post Experience Sharing Session, we set up afloor for students to explore the possibilities.After a formal launch of Challenge:Future, We started our workshop on “Effective Hiring Skills”. 15Students has participated in the workshop.   4. 4. Business and Administration with Human Resource Management as their Specialization. Theobjectives of the workshop were 1) To build the right set of competencies in terms of Knowledge, Skill and Attitude for HR jobs. 2) Learn to find the right set of manpower for the organization. 3) Learning the Skills related to Screening Candidates over Job Portals, Preparing Effective Job Descriptions,Workshop was facilitated by Trainers, Mr. Kaushal Mandalia and Ms Niyati Bhat Jathal fromInsight HR and Training Consultants.
