Final part 2

  1. 1. A few of the errors I have made while writing my papers are misuse of commas, being too tentative, and using “that” instead of “who” or “whom.” Also, in the beginning,I used “you” in my papers, but I have worked hard to make sure I do not use “you”anymore. I am working hard on fixing these problems in my writing. For example, I havebeen using OWL and grammar girl to remind me the rules for commas. In one of my papers, I was too tentative; I used a lot of “seems.” I was notconfident in my paper, because I was having a hard time in analyzing the stories, for theywere very complex and I did not have a lot of time in which to do this. One way I amfixing this, is giving myself more time to analyze stories and to have confidence in mypapers. A few other mistakes I have made are commas, using “you,” and using “that”instead of “who” or “whom.” For my comma mistakes, I will be using OWL andgrammar girl to remind me the rules for commas. As for using “you” in papers, I havebegun to make sure while editing to search for any “you” and rewriting that part of mypaper. Lastly, for using “that” instead of “whom” or “who” I will try to stop using “that”too much, and being more specific. In the beginning, I used “you” in my papers, but I have worked hard to make sureI do not use “you” any more. A few of the other errors I have made while writing mypapers are commas, being too tentative, and using “that” instead of “who” or “whom.” Iwill continue to work on these problems that I have been “caught” committing in mypapers.
