  • In all serious, Microsoft has been delivering cloud services for several years now. Think of hotmail which is a cloud based email offering for consumers, we have been running that for 15 years. MSN 13 years… Search and Windows Update for more than 10 years. We have tons of learning and innovation from running these offerings, but in terms of strategically betting the company on it, we began the formulation of that about four years ago.
