  • 1. Green Lane, Ledston, Nr Castleford, WF10 2BD Tel: 01977 557758 Headteacher: Mrs C Bean 9 May 2014 Dear Parents/Carers, Dining Arrangements Our new dining tables arrived yesterday and are now in place in the dining hall! This means that we can accommodate more ‘diners’ on comfortable seats and free up space around the rest of the hall. It gives children more leg room too, and enables us to use the storage space at the back of the hall for P.E. equipment-something the teachers and visiting sports coaches have been wanting for ages! I would like to say a big thank-you to the Diocese for providing us with a grant to purchase these tables. It has made a big difference to our teaching and learning areas. Dinner Monies The system rolled out this week has been very successful for improving efficiency in our office and we would like to thank parents for paying for dinners in advance and letting their children hand it in to the teachers. We are also asking parents of children who attend After-School Club, to also pay in advance in future. Car-Parking Please remember to park considerately on Main Street and that parking on Green Lane is for residents only. The staff car-park and parking area directly outside the school gates is reserved for staff, visitors to the school and parents issued with special parking permits.

This is to ensure that we have an accurate picture of each child’s individual achievements and progress to share with your child, yourselves and the next teacher. Class 3 Assembly Well done to all the children in Class 3 who led our assembly this afternoon and shared with us some of the work they have been doing over the last couple of weeks. It was great to see them responding creatively to a range of stimuli. The children are working incredibly hard to improve their writing in class, and this was a lovely opportunity to showcase some of the skills they are developing. The soloists, who were incredibly brave and so very confident, did a superb job. Well done Class 3! Yours sincerely Mrs C.Bean Headteacher
