    • 2. Find and Follow• Identify your audience (fans, bookers, promoters, labels, etc.)• Find them on the networks (Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc.) and on the platforms (YouTube, SoundCloud, MixCloud, etc.)• Start following them
    • 3. Create• Create content (songs, blog posts, podcasts, videos, photos, etc.)• Upload to appropriate platforms• Title, tag and describe your content• Embed on your blog and Facebook page
    • 4. Share• Like and share on Facebook• Tweet through Twitter• Suggest to your friends
    • 5. Discuss• Like and comment on other people’s pages and content• Invite people to comment on your content (blog posts, videos, audio files, Facebook page, etc.)• Ask your audience, and your heroes, for their opinions and answer their questions
    • 6. Learn• Through discussion, build a relationship with your audience• Find out what they want (i.e. what bands are bookers looking for?)• Research what your competition is doing in social media; learn from good ideas and avoid bad ones
    • 7. Present• Put your music out there• Let your fans know where to find it• Make videos, share recordings, stream live gigs (on stage or at home) via LiveStream, uStream, JustinTv, etc.• Invite your audience (bookers, etc.) to watch, listen and join in
