    • Tagore was a Bengali polymathphilosopher, artist, playright, musician and novelist.He became the first non-European to win the Nobel Prize inLiterature in 1913.Tagore introduced new prose, verse and the use of colloquiallanguage into Bengali literature.He wrote poetry as an eight-year-old. At age sixteen, he releasedhis first poems under the pseudonym Bhānusiṃha.“Poems On LoveLove adorns itself;it seeks to prove inward joy by outward beauty.Love does not claim possession,but gives freedom.Love is an endless mystery,for it has nothing else to explain it.Loves gift cannot be given,it waits to be accepted.”
