      • 1608 – 11 Academy of Unity of the Brethren (Přerov)
      • 1611 – 14 Academy at Herborn and the University of Heidelberg
    • from 161 4 – pastor and school principal in towns Přerov, Fulnek – near Ostrava ( 1618   the   Thirty Years war began)
    • after 1620 – persecuted under the Counter Reformation, was a fugitive in his own country ( his young wife and two children died of the plague 1622)
    • 1628 – fled Moravia to Poland, in Leszno led gymnasium
  • The Battle of White Mountain , November 8, 1620
  • Life (2) lived and worked in many different countries in Europe: Sweden, the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, Transylvania, the Holy Roman Empire, England, the Netherlands, Royal Hungary

    • 1648 Peace of Westphalia (end of the Thirty Years' War); his   second   wife   died, leaving him with four children

    • 1650–56 Sárospatak, Leszno (his manuscripts and the school’s printing press were burned down)
    • 1656–70 Amstedam, buried in Naarden (his grave can be visited in the mausoleum devoted to him).
