10. 10. 5 Social Media Tips

Don’t worry about perfection – people forgive perfection when you put heart and soul in your marketing.

Publish content (blogs, tweets, FBs, videos) regularly – nothing turns people off more than a stale presence. It shows lack of commitment.

Talk about what you love, not your business – If you can help others in your industry, people attract towards that. Nobody cares about your sales*.

Interact and Participate – When you engage and take an interest in others, people generally reciprocate. This builds buzz, leads and sales.

Don’t Spam – Consider your audience and respect their needs. Lame content = Lame leads.

 11. 11. Free Images/Graphics for Your Business

Problem: Images are licensed by copyright and often require a fee to use from sites like iStockphoto for commercial purposes.

Solution: Creative Commons!

http://creativecommons.org/

 12. 12. Creative Commons creativecommons.org

“ Attribution” – You must let people know the source of the image in your document. Often, this is just a link back to the source.

“ Commercial Use” – Pay attention to the guidelines of the image you plan on using. If it says it prohibits commercial use, you can’t use it (for your business).

“ Share-Alike” – You can’t take ownership of the image, the image maintains its identical license. (But your works are your copyright, regardless.)

Takes a bit longer to find the “right” image than iStock, but has more inspiring, personal images.

creativecommons.org  “FIND”  FLICKR or GOOGLE

 13. 13. Interactive Q&A

Ask us Questions …

Don’t be shy…

Use the “QUESTIONS” feature of GoToMeeting…
