  5. 5. Information Excellence 2015 Spring Summit Business Analytics Information Excellence means the ability to optimally use information to achieve a goal, any goal. It means slightly different things based on context. It is data driven decision making when used in the context of an organization. The organization cannot innovate and prosper if it does not follow the data. It is like the famous saying “In God we trust everyone else bring data”. Regardless of the organization’s size following the data is crucial for innovation. In the context of a consumer it means the capture and secure provision of information that is tailored to each consumer’s needs. Ramesh Bhashyam, CTO, Teradata R&D Labs
