      • Recession is cyclic and hence predictable
      • It is a reality check on our value proposition, customer loyalty and business strategy
      • It is not forever!
    3. Strategy & planning
      • Are you afraid of pirates? Rethink your strategy.
      • Do you have a back-up plan for every critical step you are taking?
      • Are you executing or just planning?
    4. So what is your value proposition?
      • Does your service / product have value for your clients? Is it proven?
      • Are you measuring your marketing spend? Change the mix.
      • It is time and check if you will buy what you are selling?
    5. Is your HR aligned?
      • Is your focus your headcount?
      • Do you know how much each employee is earning for you?
      • Are you really developing your people?

      • Do you have cash surplus? If not, why?
      • Are you saving where you can and investing where you should?
      • Drill down as much as you can. There is a lot to discover! (Hint: Project based accounting)

      • Be £ Wise & penny foolish.
      • Use resources wisely. They cost.
      • Focus on value, productivity and results
    9. What will recession teach us?
      • What does not work.
      • Risk Management.
      • Profitability is important. Valuation is not.
      • Strong fundamentals win. Always!
