    The point I am trying to make is that - instead of overwhelming your fans with constant updates throughout the day, it is better to send out a hand full of ’well timed’ updates, which would deliver the required information and at the same time not seem like spam on the fan’s wall and risk the brand page being unliked.

    The top 5 twitter a/c have 2 news broadcasting site and none have any engagement so if they do more then i guess they can really go far :)
    by the way i don't agree to the fact that 6-7 posts on facebook wall, then you are not at all respecting the social presence of ur fan's wall. instead more engagement could be done. ur thoughts
